    We are travelling in August from Dubrovnik to Hvar and wanted to spend day in Mljet national park.
    Are there any luggage storage, left luggage office in Mljet preferably Polace near ferry port? Our rucksacks are heavy 😉

    Thank you for any suggestion

    I’m not sure about luggage storage in Polace however in Pomena which is the nearest point to Mljet national park, there is Hotel Odisej where they offer left luggage service for travellers like you.

    You are better off to leave your luggage in Pomena than in Polace as Pomena is closer to national park.

    Unless you depart from Polace to Hvar but as far as I can see there are no ferries that run from Polace to Hvar https://www.croatiaferries.com/polace-ferry-port.htm

    Ferries from Mljet to Hvar are sailing from Pomena anyway https://www.croatiaferries.com/pomena-ferry-port.htm

    Thanks for the information. I am planning a similar itinerary for this summer. Dubrovnik to Mjlet (Polace) then Pomena to Korcula in the evening.

    Is there a bus from Polace to Pomena when the ferry arrives to Mjlet? I see that there is a bus (n18) but the schedule is not very clear.

    Hi Matt,buses are very infrequent on Mljet, so it is much better to take taxi;

    Pomena and Polace are very close, just 4 km (7 minutes by car), so it can cost you just about 100 kuna (12 Euro approx)

    last summer’s bus schedules are here:
